Launching of the contract signed by TTA within the open call of the multilateral cross-border cooperation « MED-Solar » (Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme), in Barcelona on February 4-5, 2013
As part of the new “European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) and Partnership Instrument (ENPI) funds, the project led by TTA in consortium with partners from Spain, France, Lebanon, Tunisia and Jordan seeks to promote and implement innovative technologies and know-how transfer in the field of solar energy, including that stemming from the private sector and especially from SMEs, and that may be implemented in particular, in public facilities through public procurement processes in Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine. In this project, which is to last about 2 and half years, TTA will be the overall Project Coordinator and it will also be carrying out other tasks that include research activities.
The expected results are: characterisation of the electrical grids, analysis of the regulatory and legal framework and recommendations, conceptual definition of the new system architecture, technological development of an energy management system, pilot projects in small and medium size industries and public facilities, tests and dissemination and creation of cross-border network of stakeholders.
